한센병이 나으면 정화 의식을 해야한다는 레위기 14장 내용

 

레위기 14장은 피부 질환에서 회복된, 주로 한센병 환자가 완치한 사람들의 정화에 관한 내용이 나옵니다. 의식적으로 깨끗하다고 여겨져 지역 사회에 다시 합류하도록 허용되기 전에 겪어야 했던 정화 의식에 대한 절차를 제공합니다. 

이러한 의식의 목적은 정신적인 정화는 물론 공동체에 대한 회복을 강조한 차원이 크다고 보이긴 합니다. 

 

 

 

 

한센병이 다  나으면

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1. The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 

2. "This shall be the law of the leprous person for the day of his cleansing. He shall be brought to the priest,

3. and the priest shall go out of the camp, and the priest shall look. Then, if the case of leprous disease is healed in the leprous person, 

 

 

 

 

 

히솝의 효능에 관하여

 

4. the priest shall command them to take for him who is to be cleansed two live clean birds and cedarwood and scarlet yarn and hyssop.

5. And the priest shall command them to kill one of the birds in an earthenware vessel over fresh water.

6. He shall take the live bird with the cedarwood and the scarlet yarn and the hyssop, and dip them and the live bird in the blood of the bird that was killed over the fresh water.

 

 

 

창조주가 모세에게 말합니다. 나환자의 병이 나으면 일종의 의식을 행하라는 것인데요. 살아있는 새 두 마리와 붉은 실 그리고 히솝을 준비하라고 하고 깨끗한 물에 새 한 마리를 죽이라고 하는 것 같네요.

7. And he shall sprinkle it seven times on him who is to be cleansed of the leprous disease. Then he shall pronounce him clean and shall let the living bird go into the open field.

8. And he who is to be cleansed shall wash his clothes and shave off all his hair and bathe himself in water, and he shall be clean. And after that he may come into the camp, but shall live outside his tent for seve ndays.

9. And on the seventh day he shall shave off all his hair from his head, his beard, and his eyebrows. He shall shave off all his hair, and then he shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and he shall be clean.

 

그리고는 죽인 새의 피를 뿌리라고 하는 것 같은데요. 일곱번을 나환자에게 뿌려 깨끗하게 하라는데 마치 무당이 닭피를 뿌리는 의식과 다를 게 없어 보입니다. 이게 굿과 다른 게 뭐가 있나 싶으면서도. 결국 무속 신앙이니 굿하는 일련의 행위도 성경에서 기인했나 싶은 생각이 드네요.

 

 

 

암튼, 결벽증 창조주는 낫고도 의식도 하고, 7일 동안 장막 안에서 못 나오게 하고 나와서도 털이란 털은 다 깎고 철저하게 위생관리를 한 것으로 보입니다. 

 

 

 정갈한 의식

 

10. " And on the eight day he shall take two male lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb a year old without blemish, and a grain offering of three thenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil, and one log of oil.

11. And the priest who cleanses him shall set the man who is to be cleansed and these thigs before the Lord, at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

12. And the priest shall take one of the male lambs and offer it for a guilt offering, along with the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before the Lord.

13. And he shall kill the lamb in the place where they kill the sin offerig and the burnt offering, in the place of the sanctuary. For the guilt offering, like the sin offering, belongs to the priest; it is most holy.

14. The priest shall take some of the blood of the guilt offering, and the priest shall put it on the lobe of the right ear of hi who is to be cleansed and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

15. Then the priest shall take some of the log of oil and pour it into the palm of his own left hand

16. and dip his right finger in the oil that is i his left hand and sprinkle some oil with his finger seven times before the Lord.

 

 

 

17. And some of the oil that remains in his hand the priest shall put o the lobe of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.

18. And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed. Then the priest shall make atonement for him before the Lord.

19. The priest shall offer the sin offering, to make atonement for him who is to be cleansed fro his uncleanness. And afterwards he shall kill the burnt offering.

20. And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. Thus the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

 

그리고 여덟째 날에는 흠이 없는 숫양 두 마리와 흠이 없는 일년 된 암양 한 마리와 기름 섞은 밀가루를 어쩌고 저쩌고 하는데 육전이라도 대령하라는 건가 싶네요. 아무튼, 동물 번제물을 바치고 어린양을 죽이고 피를 가져가 피를 오른손 엄지와 오른발 엄지에 묻히라고 한 것 같네요. 피를 왜 묻히나 싶었는데 그만큼 엄지는 중요한 역할을 담당하기에 묻힌 거라고 하는데 조금 우습습니다. 

 

지금 생각하면 너무 미개하고 이상한 의식이지만, 당시에는 이보다 더 신성하고 위엄있고 경건한 의식이 또 있었을까 싶긴 합니다. 

 

 

 

 가난해서 바칠 제물이 없다면

 

 

21. "But if he is poor and cannot afford so much, then he shall take one male lamb for a guilt offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil for a grain offering, and a log of oil;

22. also two turtle-doves or two pigeons, whichever he can afford. Ond shall be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.

23. And on the eighth day he shall brig the for his cleansing to the priest, to the entrance of the tent of meeting, before the Lord.

24. And the priest shall take the lamb of the guilt offering and the log of oil, and the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the Lord.

25. And he shall kill the lamb of the guilt offering. And the priest shall take some of the blood of the guilt offering and put it on the lobe of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot.

26. And the priest shall pour some of the oil into the palm of his own left hand,

27. and shall sprinkle with his right finger some of the oil that is in his left hand seven times before the Lord.

28. And the priest shall put some of the oil that is in his hand on the lobe of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed and the thumb of his right hand and on the big toe of his right foot, in the place where the blood of the guilt offering was put.

29. And the rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, to make atonement for him before the Lord.

30. And he shall offer, of the turtle-doves or pigeons, whichever he can afford, 

31. one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering, along with a grain offering. And the priest shall make atonement before the Lord for him in whom is a case of leprous disease, who cannot afford the offerings for his cleansing.

 

창조주는 항상 최선도 제시하십니다. 최상의 번제물을 바칠 것을 요구하지만, 형편이 그에 미치지 못하면 차선을 선택해서 비슷한 방법으로 하라는 건데요. 매번 이상하다는 생각뿐입니다.
